The headmaster presided over the meeting. The programme began with an inaugural song by the students of Class X. After that, the retired teacher was garlanded and honoured with flowers and gifts. A blood donation camp was organised by the Barasat Youth Club on July 2 at the local community hall, starting from 10 a.m. The event was inaugurated by the local MLA, Mr. Arindam Roy, who appreciated the noble effort. Doctors and volunteers from a reputed blood bank assisted in the smooth conduct of the camp. Around 85 donors, including students, teachers, and local people, came forward to donate blood.
